The power of friendship should never be underestimated. As most women will agree, girlfriends play a major role in enhancing our lives and can provide a wealth of support, understanding and compassion when we most need it. So what better way to reinforce and reward this behaviour than with a great girl’s night out? Stuck for something to do? Then check out my top 5 ideas! Night Out 1. Spend the night in! Haven’t you heard; staying in is the new going out! Try having a cosy evening at your place with all your girlfriends. Stock up on some good old chick-flicks or rom-coms and order in a pizza to share. Get into your PJs, pour yourselves some wine and relax! 2. Have a make over night. Whilst we’re on the subject of staying in, how about getting your girlfriends over for a make over session. Try flicking through some magazines, choosing a look that you think will suit your friends and then try recreating it. Who knows, you may just find your sexy new style! 3. Hit the town Yes ladies, what you’ve all been waiting to hear! Even though this is a some what traditional night out, it is a proven winner in the entertainment stakes. Pull on those heels, slap on the make up and pour yourself into that killer dress — you’ve got the perfect recipe for a great night out! Try meeting for pre-drinks so you can have a good girly gossip and get ready with each other. Not only does this provide some quality girl time, it also allows you to get tipsy before you head out to clubs where alcohol is often on the pricey side. After all, there’s nothing like a cheap night out! 4. Try something different. If you’re bored of the same old routine, try getting your girls together and doing something completely different and outside of your comfort zone. Perhaps sign up to some pole dancing lessons at your local leisure centre. Nothing says female bonding like a new experience to pull you all together. 5. Don’t just make it one night out. How about going away for an all girl weekend? Try renting a holiday cottage and heading into the countryside where you can all relax and take life at a steadier pace.
